The role of pea cumeric acid in bee health
Researchers have found that the absence of pea cumeric acid in abandoned beehives and honey lacks an essential nutrient for the detoxification of bees. Bees with a deficiency in pea cumeric acid can be rendered unable to fly due to deformities, making it difficult for them to collect pollen and attend to the brood, and become vulnerable to viruses such as the deformed wing virus.
