The Role of the Cerebellum in Balancing and Navigating in the World
The cerebellum is responsible for signaling deeper brain centers to release dopamine, norepinephrine, and acetylcholine when we encounter errors in vestibular motor sensory experience, which allows our brains to compensate and maintain balance. Additionally, the cerebellum plays a crucial role in our ability to respond to changes in our relationship to gravity and navigate our surroundings appropriately.
