The Trade-Off Between Weight Loss and Health Risks
The FDA and doctors are faced with the decision of whether it is more important to get patients thin, even if it puts them at risk for heart disease, lung issues, and brain damage, or if their weight and overall health should be left alone. Weight has always been correlated with cholesterol and heart disease, but if weight is only a problem because it causes these issues, then why should it be a trade-off we are willing to make?
