A report published by 700 admirals and generals puts focus on poor health in the military and national security. With 1 in 2 Americans having pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes, the high rates of obesity and physical inactivity in the population are leading to 7 out of 10 young applicants being rejected from the military for being too overweight or unfit, making it a national security threat.
